The Man Behind the Bench
Dude Workshop is run by David Rodgers, a hands-on maker in Oklahoma. Woodworking is the heart of the shop. Alongside it I do laser engraving, 3D printing, and hand-poured candles, all designed and made in-house.
I have been making candles by hand for about six years. It started as a curiosity and turned into a craft: learning how a material really behaves, and how much of good work is just patience. That same thinking goes into everything that leaves the shop.
I also come to the bench with a career in manufacturing quality, production, and training. The habits that keep a production line honest (measure it, test it, fix the problem at the root) go into every piece I make.
